Dr Ranjit Ranawaya completed medical school at the University of Southampton (England) in 1978. After working as a family physician for 3 years in rural Saskatchewan, he completed neurology training at the University of Alberta in 1988. Following this he completed a 2 year Clinical Fellowship in Movement Disorders under the mentorship of Dr. Anthony Lang at the Toronto Western Hospital. He moved to Calgary in 1990. Dr Ranjit Ranawaya is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences. Since 2007, he has been the Director of clinical services for the Movement Disorders Clinic. Dr Ranawaya is actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents and clinical fellows.
