Clinical & Research Excellence in Neurology Programs

The Division of Neurology provides neurological clinical care to the population of southern Alberta, south-western Saskatchewan and south-eastern British Columbia. Comprised of specialty Programs - Headache, Epilepsy, Stroke, General Neurology, Movement Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Neuromuscular, Neuro-oncology, and Urgent Neurology – the Division brings clinicians and researchers together to provide comprehensive services across the continuum of care.

Currently, the Division of Neurology is focusing on three new aspects of health care delivery: a) central triage system for outpatient services, b) implementation of an outpatient electronic medical record and booking system, and c) the development of a formal General Neurology Program. Through these initiatives and with the support of our partners, we continue to support excellence and innovation in health care delivery.

Strong partnerships with the Hotchkiss Brain Institute (HBI), other Departments within the University (e.g., Community Health Sciences), and our external stakeholders, enables the Division of Neurology to thrive both in the laboratory and academically, through involvement in a broad variety of research areas and through the training of post-doctoral clinical and research fellows.
