The Epilepsy Clinic

Located on the 12th floor of the Foothills Medical Centre, the Calgary Epilepsy Clinic provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and follow-up services to patients referred with new and uncontrolled seizures.   Services provided by the clinic include:

  • assessment and treatment of all forms of epilepsy
  • new anticonvulsant drug trials 
  • epilepsy surgery
  • vagal nerve stimulation
  • education for patient and family
  • psychological counselling

 

Clinic Referral

All referrals to the Calgary Epilepsy Clinic must be made by a physician.

New patients

To refer a new patient the Calgary Epilepsy Clinic, send a letter of referral and all pertinent investigative results (e.g., medical history, diagnostic test results, and patient contact details)

The Clinic will notify the patient directly regarding their appointment time and date; please expect a 2 – 3 month wait time for new appointments.

Please fax a discharge summary, including all pertinent medical history, diagnostics test results, and patient contact details, to: 403-283-2270.
