Dr. Bell is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Division of Neurology, Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Calgary. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Alberta and pursued post-graduate training in Internal Medicine in Christchurch, New Zealand and at the University of Calgary. He went on to do Neurology at the University of Calgary and subsequently completed a research fellowship in Neuroimmunology at Stanford University, California. Upon his return to Calgary, he was appointed as an Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research Clinical Scholar, with a research lab in neuroimmunology and neurogenetics. Currently, Dr. Bell is a consultant neurologist in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences and a member of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute, as well as an associate member of the Institute of Inflammation, Infection, and Immunology at the University of Calgary. Dr. Bell’s clinical research interests relate to translational research in neuroimmunology and multiple sclerosis. He has published extensively in the field of neuroimmunology.
