Dr Busche is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences. Dr. Busche completed his BSc in Anatomy and Cell Biology at McGill University in Montreal. He then went on to medical school at the University of Western Ontario, graduating in 1997. Dr. Busche came to Calgary for his neurology residency, which he completed in 2002. Dr. Busche’s clinical interests include: general neurology, nerve conduction studies/electromyography, and multiple sclerosis. In addition to his general neurology clinic, Dr. Busche also works at the University of Calgary Multiple Sclerosis Clinic, where he is involved in both patient care and clinical research trials. He is a member of the EMG section of the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists, and also spends time working in the EMG Labs at both the Foothills Medical Center and the Rockyview General Hospital. Dr Busche also works in the Urgent Neurology Clinic at the Rockyview General Hospital. Medical Education is one of Dr. Busche's main areas of interest. He Chairs the Neuroscience Course Subcommittee, which is responsible for the planning and organization of neuroscience education for the undergraduate medical students. He enjoys working with the medical students and has won several awards for teaching. Dr. Busche is the Director of Faculty Development for Undergraduate Medical Education, working to assist teachers in the Faculty of Medicine to develop their teaching skills.
