THE ALBERTA CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
KINSMEN CHAIR IN PEDIATRIC NEUROSCIENCES

The Faculty of Medicine, University of Calgary, through a partnership with the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, invites applications for the Kinsmen Chair in Pediatric Neurosciences.

The successful candidate will be a MD, PhD or MD/PhD with the current rank of Associate Professor or higher and have an active research program in pediatric neurosciences. The preferred applicant will be a senior clinician-scientist with an established track record in the area of pediatric epilepsy, proven leadership in the field and extensive expertise in knowledge creation and application. The individual will enhance research capacity in pediatric neurosciences at the Faculty of Medicine, bridging basic neurosciences with clinical applications, and will promote multidisciplinary collaborations with basic scientists. The initial appointment will be for 5 years.

Review of applications will begin November 15, 2011 and continue until the position is filled. 

Please submit a resume, statement of research interests and vision/goals for the Chair (2 pages), titles of five important research publications in the area of pediatric neurosciences and names of three referees to:
